Ready to host your own speaking club?
If you’re a newly qualified teacher, a language enthusiast, or simply someone who wants to give English learners the chance to SPEAK, then you’re in the right place.
We welcome anyone who wants to host their own English Speaking Club — using Zoom, Skype, Teams, or Google Meet. All speaking clubs hosted through this site must be 100% FREE. You won’t make money, but you will make a real difference.
Step 1 — Create your speaking club
Choose a minimum level and a topic. Ideally create a PPT presentation, or prepare a list of engaging questions for a 60-minute speaking club.
Decide whether you will:
- host one group and lead the questions yourself, or
- use breakout rooms for small-group discussions
Step 2 — Make a Google Form
You’ll need a Google Form so people can sign up. My example is here.
Email participants to confirm their place and send a reminder 24 hours before the club starts.
Step 3 — Get listed on the website
Fill out the host form. I’ll reply within 24 hours. We’ll meet briefly on Zoom to check everything and then you’ll receive host rights before your club begins.
Your club will appear on the main page and link to your own host profile.
Who will attend?
This site gets over 1,000 visitors a month from all over the world. Most attendees come from Eastern Europe, but we also see learners from South America, Africa, and Asia.
The goal: SPEAKING!
The key is to give people the chance to speak — to use real, spoken English in a relaxed, friendly, fun environment.
If you can create that atmosphere, we’d love to have you as a host.
