This type of speaking club known as 'The BIG FREE English Speaking Club" is a little different from the traditional-topic-based speaking club that you might have attended. But, how I hear you ask yourself....
There is no host directing the conversation and asking the questions, but don't worry, you will still be guided. You will join a room with 4 or 5 other people, and use the material on your screen to help guide your conversation among yourselves.
What is the topic? Well, the topic is called Situations and it's a chance for you to tell other people what you would do in different situations and why. For example: You see an old lady who doesn't look very healthy stealing from a supermarket, do you a) tell someone who works at the shop b) ignore it, she's old c) go and ask her why she is stealing d) own answer.
This is a chance for you to not only explain why you would choose a certain answer, but also why you wouldn't choose a different answer and an opportunity to listen to what other people in the room have to say. Who knows, maybe their answer can convince you to change your answers or better still, you can convince them to change theirs.
Remember this is an opportunity to speak, so simply saying "B" or "A is the best options" isn't good enough for a speaking club / conversation club. You're going to have to give reasons why, and you are encouraged to ask and quiz other people about their choice. Each situation will last around 7 minutes before the situation changes.
Something quite important to remember is you don't need the word WILL, you will need the words WOULD/COULD/MIGHT because all these situations are hypothetical and require you to use the second conditional.
This speaking club will last for 60 minutes, but this doesn't mean you will be kicked off the call after 60 minutes, you will be allowed to stay and chat with the others who wish to stay in the main room.
Again it is very important that if you are going to join this speaking club, that you are ready to accept and respect that other people might disagree with you and have a completely different view on the topic you are talking about.

This speaking club is open to anyone who is Intermediate and higher. You will try to be grouped with a similar level.
