All About Me - Share Your Story!

This speaking club is all about YOU! It's the perfect opportunity to share your story, talk about your experiences, and get to know other English learners from around the world.

In this BIG FREE English Speaking Club, you'll be paired with different people for around 10 minutes each, giving you lots of opportunities to practice introducing yourself and sharing personal stories in English.

What will we talk about? Everything about you! Your background, your hobbies, your dreams, your culture, your favorite memories, and what makes you unique. This is your chance to practice talking about yourself in a natural, conversational way.

Some topics you might discuss:

  • Where you're from and what it's like there
  • Your hobbies and interests
  • Your job or studies
  • Your family and friends
  • Your favorite foods, movies, or music
  • Your dreams and future plans
  • Interesting experiences you've had
  • What makes you happy or proud

Don't worry if you're nervous about talking about yourself - everyone in the group will be doing the same thing! This is a supportive environment where you can practice your English while making new friends.

This speaking club will last for 60 minutes, but you're welcome to stay and chat with others in the main room afterwards if you'd like to continue the conversation.

This speaking club is open to anyone who is pre-Intermediate and higher. You will be grouped with people of a similar level.

A few questions....

  • Where will the people be from?
    It's impossible to say as we have people who sign up for the FREE speaking clubs from all over the world. From Kazakhstan to Brazil.
  • If I don't like it, can I leave?
    Of course, if this type of speaking club is not your cup of tea, you are free to leave whenever you like.
  • Can I change rooms?
    If you don't feel comfortable with the people in your room, just send the host a message and they will put you in a different room.
  • What if I'm shy about talking about myself?
    That's completely normal! Remember, everyone else is doing the same thing. Start with simple topics like your hobbies or where you're from, and you'll feel more comfortable as the conversation flows.
  • How do I sign up?
    You can sign up for the BIG English speaking club here.
  • Do I need to be on camera?
    No. While it would be nice during the first session that we all say hello on camera, the sessions have all been designed so all our focus will be on speaking and listening.
  • Can I prepare what to say?
    Absolutely! It's a great idea to think about some interesting stories or facts about yourself before the session. This will help you feel more confident and make the conversation flow better.
